Toronto-based award winning band Magic! Live in Guam for a one-day concert at Leo Palace Baseball Stadium on August 20, 2015.
Magic! received great international success in United States, United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Denmark, the Netherlands and Sweden. Now touring and opening for Maroon 5’s World Tour 2015, Guam will be their next hottest summer destination! Magic! will be performing songs from their award winning album “Don’t Kill the Magic”.
Magic! is led by Nasri, a Grammy Award-winning songwriter and producer, and is heavily influenced by the sounds of the Police. Nasri first met Mark Pellizzer, guitarist and vocals and collaborated in 2012. Soon after the initial jam, drummer Alex Tanas and bassist Ben Spivak joined. The quartet entered a Los Angeles studio and records its full-length 2013 debut. Everything simply worked like Magic as the group creatively merged reggae, rock, pop and soul into the songs which peaked at the top of U.S. and international billboard charts.
As one half of the in-demand writing and production duo The Messengers, Nasri has also penned music for everybody from Justin Bieber, Pitbull to Chris Brown and Christina Aguilera. He garnered a Grammy Award in the category of "Best R&B Album" for Chris Brown's F.A.M.E. in 2012. However, he's formally embarked on a new phase in his already illustrious career.
The sound of Magic! distills Caribbean flavor, arena-size bombast, and glistening melodies into an undeniably intoxicating musical potion. The first single "Rude" coasts from a Jamaican guitar twang and danceable beat into a downright irresistible refrain. And their song “Don’t Let Your Hair Down” simply gets bodies grooving.
“It's a stressful time out there, and people are struggling to find hope in balance,” said Nasri. “This music is meant to put you in a good mood. We want to bring people together to have a good time. It's not about us. It's about the music. We want you to be a part of that energy and a positive musical world!”
