Tropical Productions, Inc., Guam's premier production and event company, presents Guam Live!, the 1st annual local music & entertainment festival.  The event will feature bands like San Francisco’s The Shawn Megofna Band, San Diego’s Through the Roots, Los Angeles’s Mighty Mellow Massive, Saipan’s Latte Vibes, Guam’s Dollhouse, The TJ Hubert Experiment and more!

San Francisco’s The Shawn Megofna Band are well-known in the Pacific Islands and Bay area for their eclectic and energetic performances.  Shawn Megofna (lead singer, keyboardist, ukele and songwriter) was born on Guam, but raised in the Bay area.  His roots echo through his music, fusing a smooth vibe with the diverse musical influences of the Bay area. The group’s other members are excited to be performing on Guam: Alvin Mata will allure you with his sexy sax; Mike Dayoa heats up the guitar and back-up vocals; and Shiabe Bok Pangelinan rhythmically pounds the drums. The Shawn Megofna Band combines intricate lyrics with a unique sound that resonates, as they take you on a journey you won’t soon forget.

San Diego's Through the Roots are known for their easy listening music with Cali-Reggae vibes and positive messages. Uplifting and tantalizing the band blends reggae, rock and pop mixed with a vast array of pleasing guitar, drums, keyboard and catchy vocals, creating it’s unique sound. Comprised of five band members Through the Roots Lead vocalist and guitarist Evan Hawkins is complimented by the talents of Chris Cruz on the guitar and keys, Ross Garcia tears up the bass, Brandy O’Rear plays keys and Taylor Boatwright pounds away on the drums. They have toured with high profile groups, which have serenaded the Guam Audience many times, like Rebelution, Iration, The Expendables and Natural Vibrations to name a few. This is the first time Through the Roots will play on island but it is anticipated that their high-energy free-flowing show will inspire and capture music fans, leaving them with positive energy and reaction. After tearing it up at the 2013 California Roots Festival, they were offered to play on our Island at Guam Live a musical experience they jumped to be a part of. Now Through the Roots is making their way to Guam in hopes of capturing the island’s music fans' hearts and leaving them wanting more, joining three other off-island bands and local bands who will be letting it all go at Guam Live!

Mark your calendars for the 2013 Guam LIVE! concert, happening on July 13th at the Guam Greyhound Park.  Guaranteed to be the ultimate musical showcase experience on island!  Live Music!  Great Food!  Good Vibes!
